The three Vokoun children were staying with their dad at their grandmother's house for the weekend, as they did many weekends. Their mother and father were separated at the time and Mr. Vokoun was living with his mother. An electrical fire broke out early one morning. Grandma, Dad, and all three children perished that day. Mrs. Vokoun was interviewed about her children by the press. She said...
Her oldest, Jessica, loved horses. Her bedroom was filled with books and pictures of many different types of horses. Mrs Vokoun said that Jessica never got to ride a horse but she can picture her riding a beautiful horse in heaven with a huge smile on her face.
Danielle was 10 years old and remembered as , "a beautiful child who would melt the heart of anyone who saw her." She had long hair, freckles, an incredible smile, and contagious laughter. She lived Tigger, the Winnie the Pooh character, and carried her stuffed animal everywhere with a Tigger backpack, headband, and slippers.
Mrs. Vokoun remembered her son, Glen (AKA Buddy) as 100% boy! The 8 year old loved the NY Yankees. He loved to sing ad have conversations.
Buddy and his two sisters sang solos and duets at their church with the children's choir.
Beautiful children who left a lasting legacy.
