A 1999 graduate of Pope John, Warren acquired strong friendships and played football on 4 consecutive championship teams. He was elected to the NJSIAA First Team All-State Football Team in 1998. He loved the NY Yankees and Giants and played golf and softball. He loved spending time with his soul-mate, Jennifer McQuaid & her daughter Mariah. He is missed & dearly loved.
Wronko, Sarah 2003-2014

Sarah is remembered as a gifted painter with her work displayed in arts shows in New York and New Jersey. Her work is beautiful; a lasting legacy.
Vokoun, Jessica     1988-2001

The three Vokoun children were staying with their dad at their grandmother's house for the weekend, as they did many weekends. Their mother and father were separated at the time and Mr. Vokoun was living with his mother.  An electrical fire broke out early one morning. Grandma, Dad, and all three children perished that day.  Mrs. Vokoun was interviewed about her children by the press. She said...

Her oldest, Jessica, loved horses.Her bedroom was filled with books and pictures of many different types of horses. Mrs Vokoun said that Jessica never got to ride a horse but she can picture her riding a beautiful horse in heaven with a huge smile on her face.

Danielle was 10 years old and remembered as , "a beautiful child who would melt the heart of anyone who saw her." She had long hair, freckles, an incredible smile, and contagious laughter.  She lived Tigger, the Winnie the Pooh character, and carried her stuffed animal everywhere with a Tigger backpack, headband, and slippers.

Mrs. Vokoun remembered her son, Glen (AKA Buddy) as 100% boy!  The 8 year old loved the NY Yankees. He loved to sing ad have conversations. 

Buddy and his two sisters sang solos and duets at their church with the children's choir.

Beautiful children who left a lasting legacy.


Thompson, Daniel  1948-1963

Danny, as he was called by his friends, grew up in Budd Lake and enjoyed a wide range of interests. He loved the outdoors and would hunt in the woods and fish and boat on Budd Lake. He enjoyed baseball cards but one could also find him with his head under the hood of a car. 

 A wonderful boy who is never forgotten.
Thomson, James Andrew 1984-2011

James had a contagious laughter. One could find him horsing around in ways that would brighten everyone's day. He loved to hike, bike, fish, and snowboard but was an avid reader as well.

Torgerson, John Mark 1956-1976

A 1975 graduate of Mt. Olive High School, he was known as "Mark" by his friends. He enjoyed being with other people and making them laugh.  He was happy camping along the Delaware River with his friends.

Thomson, Kerri Ann Reilly 1987-2015

Although a rare neurological syndrome (Rett Syndrome) rendered Kerri unable to walk and talk, Kerri's will and spirit would not be deterred. She loved music, bike riding, being read to, and visits to the beach. She was predeacesed by her brother James (below).
Winbush, Katrina 1981-2003

Katrina was born and raised in Paterson but moved to Budd Lake the year before she left for heaven. She supported herself as a waitress at Applebees.  Although she had not lived in Mt. Olive very long, she became a part of our community and her life is celebrated by us, her neighbors.
Taylor, Robert 1961-1977

Bobby Taylor was hit by a car as he was crossing Rt. 46 near the Country Store and succumbed to his injuries. He was in the 10th grade at Mt. Olive High School. His friends remember his fondly and have ensured that he is not forgotten.
Taylor, Lynn P 1960-1978

Mr.& Mrs. Taylor raised their family in Budd Lake. Our hearts break for them & their children as they grieved the loss of Bobby (below) in 1977 and that of their daughter one year later. Lynn had graduated from high school in June, 1978 but was found drowned in Budd Lake in August of that year. The Taylor family certainly knows how to be resilient, even when life hurts!!
